What PronoBot does

PronoBot is a Discord prediction bot. Your server staff create matches with odds, and members bet virtual coins on them. No real money is involved: coins only exist on your server and cannot be bought.

Each server has its own economy. Your balance, XP and stats on one server have nothing to do with another server.

Add the bot

Invite PronoBot with this link: add PronoBot. The link asks for the Administrator permission.

Every time the bot joins a server, rejoins included, it posts a welcome card in the first text channel it can write to. It lists the first steps and has two buttons: the documentation and the support Discord. It is in French, or in English if the server language is already set to en (for example when the bot comes back to a server).

Canvas visuals (generated images for announcements, confirmations and DMs) are free and off by default. An admin can turn them on: see Canvas visuals.

Commands only work in a server

Every command and context menu is refused in DMs. The bot replies “Mes commandes ne sont utilisables que dans un serveur.” (French only).

First steps for admins

1. Set the staff roles with /pb config: adminrole for bot admins, managerrole for the people who create and settle matches. With no role set, only members with the Discord Administrator permission can use staff commands.
2. Pick the bot language with the language option (fr by default, or en).
3. Adjust the economy if needed: starting balance, daily reward, minimum and maximum bet.
4. Create a first match with /match create, in the channel where you want the announcement to appear.

You can also set everything from the dashboard: type /pb config with no option, pick a section in the menu, then change the settings with the menus and buttons.

First steps for players

1. Open your account with /pb open. You get the server’s starting balance, 100 coins by default.
2. Claim your daily reward with /pb daily: 50 coins by default, once a day.
3. Bet from a match announcement by clicking the result you want, or with /bet.

Betting never creates an account. Without /pb open, the bot tells you that you have no account.

Bot language

Two separate settings are involved.

• Command names and descriptions follow your Discord client language. Only clients set to English (US) see them in English. Every other language, English (UK) included, sees French.
• Bot replies follow the server’s language option.

/help, the tutorial, the welcome message, the confirmation cards and the common error messages follow the server language. Server logs stay in French whatever the setting. See Troubleshooting.
