Documentation Administration

Administration

Staff permissions, coin management, member restriction, disabling commands and wiping server data.

Who can do what

Every command shows up in everyone’s command list on Discord. The bot checks rights when the command is used.

Level Commands
Admin /pb config, /pb viewconfig, /pb userinfo, /coins add, /coins remove, /coins set, /coins giveall, /togglecommand, /tutorial, /wipeuserdata, the User Info PronoBot menu
Manager /match create, /match close, /match cancel, /match delete, /match edit, /match deadline, /restrict, /unrestrict, /serverinfo, /botinfo, /contact
Everyone All other commands

An admin has the adminrole role or the Discord Administrator permission. A manager has managerrole, adminrole or the Discord Administrator permission. With no role configured, only members with the Discord Administrator permission can use staff commands.

No command is reserved for the server owner as such.

Cooldowns

Each command has a per-member cooldown of 3 to 10 seconds. The /pb cooldown (3 seconds) is shared by all its subcommands. The cooldown message follows the server language.

Managing coins

Command Effect
/coins add Adds coins to a member
/coins remove Removes coins. Refused if the balance would go negative
/coins set Sets the exact balance (minimum 0)
/coins giveall Adds an amount to every account, or only to human members with a given role
  • The target of add, remove and set must be a server member. If they have no account, one is created automatically with the starting balance.
  • These three operations show in the player’s history with your username, in the logs at the detailed level, and in member activity if it is on.
  • Without a role, /coins giveall credits every account on the server, former members included. With a role, only members who have that role and an account are credited. This command is not written to the logs.

/coins set and /coins giveall first show a confirmation card, valid for 60 seconds:

  • for set: the player, their current balance (or a note that an account will be created) and the new balance;
  • for giveall: the amount per account, the target (the whole server or a role), how many members have that role, how many accounts are affected and the total given.

Nothing changes until you click “Set the balance” or “Give coins”. /coins add and /coins remove apply right away, with no confirmation.

The /coins subcommands have no English translation and show in French for everyone.

Confirmation cards

Actions you cannot undo first show a confirmation card. Nothing happens until you click the confirm button, and only the person who ran the command can click it. A double click never runs the action twice.

Action What the card shows Valid for
/match close Match, selected result, winning and losing bets, estimated payout. “Back” lets you pick another result 5 minutes
Cancelling a bet from /pb mybets or the match page Match, pick, refund amount 5 minutes
/coins giveall Amount per account, target, accounts affected, total given 60 seconds
/coins set Player, current balance or account to create, new balance 60 seconds
/pb close Balance lost, data erased 60 seconds
/match delete Match to delete no limit
/removebet Match, pick, refund no limit

Confirmation cards follow the server language. An expired card does nothing; run the command again.

Restricting a member

A member with the restrictedrole role cannot bet. They keep access to /pb daily, coinflip, /removebet and every other command.

/restrict gives that role. Requirements:

  • restrictedrole is configured and the role exists;
  • the target is on the server and has a PronoBot account;
  • the target is not you, is not a manager or admin, and is not already restricted;
  • the bot has the Manage Roles permission and its highest role is above the restricted role.

/unrestrict removes the role. The target does not need an account. In both cases the member gets a DM and the action is logged.

You can also add or remove the role by hand in Discord. The effect is the same.

Disabling a command

/togglecommand has three actions: disable, enable and list.

  • Give the top-level command name, for example bet, pb or match.
  • Disabling pb or match blocks all their subcommands. A single subcommand cannot be disabled.
  • togglecommand itself cannot be disabled.
  • Context menus cannot be disabled.
  • A disabled command replies “This command has been disabled on this server.” (in the server language).
  • When /bet is disabled, the bet buttons on announcements are refused too.
  • The change can take up to 30 seconds to apply.

To turn off only coinflip, use commandesdejeux:false in /pb config instead.

Wiping server data

/wipeuserdata opens a form where you must type exactly CONFIRM (or CONFIRMER if the server language is fr). There is a single confirmation step.

Deleted Kept
Every account (coins, XP, levels, stats) Server configuration
Every match and bet Disabled commands
Transaction history Global profiles (rank, certification, Orbs)
Match numbering (back to #1)

Warning: the wipe is permanent. No stake is refunded and no DM is sent.
