Who can configure the bot

/pb config and /pb viewconfig are for admins: members with the adminrole role or the Discord Administrator permission.

Replies are private. Every successful change is written to the server logs with the admin’s ID.

Using /pb config

• With no option, /pb config opens the configuration dashboard, like /pb viewconfig. You can edit it in place: see the next section.
• You can change several options in one command.
• A role or channel that has been set can be replaced with another one, or cleared with the reset option (see below).
• minbet cannot be higher than maxbet. The command refuses the change if it would be.

Editing from the dashboard

/pb config with no option and /pb viewconfig show the whole configuration, with a “Pick a section to edit” menu at the bottom. Pick a section (General, Roles, Economy, Channels, Notifications, Canvas visuals or Games) and its settings show up as menus and buttons.

• Roles and channels: one menu per setting. Channel menus only offer text and announcement channels.
• Language and log level: a menu with the allowed values.
• On / off options: one button per option, green when it is on. A click switches it.
• Amounts (Economy section): the “✏️ Edit amounts” button opens a form filled in with the current dailyamount, initialcoins, minbet, maxbet and dynamicreserve. The limits are the same as the options (see the table below) and minbet cannot be higher than maxbet. A field left empty keeps its value.
• Clear: the “Clear a role or channel (not set)” menu does the same as reset:<option>. It only lists the roles and channels already set in that section.

Every change is saved right away, with the same checks and the same log line as the command. The dashboard refreshes in place and shows “Saved” with the setting’s name. If you change the language, it switches to the new language at once. Only the admin who opened the dashboard can use it, and their permission is checked again on every change.

Every option is still available as a command: /pb config with options lets you change several at once.

Clearing a role or channel

/pb config reset:<option> clears a role or channel so it goes back to “not set”. Discord offers the 10 options that can be cleared:

For example, /pb config reset:logschannel stops the logs. You can combine reset with other options in the same command, but you cannot set and clear the same option at once. Number and on / off options cannot be cleared; just give them a new value. A cleared value shows in the changes card and in the logs, like any other change.

As a command, channel options do not limit the channel type in Discord, so pick a text channel. The dashboard menus only offer text and announcement channels.

Recommended setup

1. adminrole and managerrole. Without them, only members with the Discord Administrator permission can manage the bot.
2. language:en if your server speaks English.
3. logschannel in a staff-only channel, with logslevel:normal.
4. initialcoins, dailyamount, minbet and maxbet, depending on how fast you want the economy to move.
5. restrictedrole if you want to be able to stop some members from betting.
6. Optional: pingenabled and pingrole, levelupenabled and levelupchannel, activitemembres, images.

betschannel and matcheschannel are saved but not used by the bot yet: /pb viewconfig marks them “not used yet”. Match announcements are posted in the channel where /match create is typed, and bets work from any channel.

Language

The language option sets the language of bot replies for the whole server. Each member’s Discord language is ignored. When an English string is missing, the French text is shown.

/help, /tutorial, the welcome message, the confirmation cards and the permission-denied, disabled-command and cooldown messages follow this language.

These stay in French whatever the setting: server logs and parts of /pb userinfo.

Logs channel

Logs need logschannel. With logslevel:none, nothing is sent.

Never logged: /coins giveall, /togglecommand and deadline changes. Each entry includes the member and moderator mention and their Discord ID. Logs are always in French.

Role ping on new matches

When pingenabled is on and pingrole is set, every new match (any type) is followed by a second message that mentions that role, in the same channel. The bot needs permission to mention the role, unless the role is mentionable by everyone.

Level-up announcements

With levelupenabled and levelupchannel, level-ups earned when a match is settled are posted in that channel. Level-ups from /pb daily are only sent to the player by DM.

Member activity

activitemembres posts a short public message, without pings, for member actions: account created or deleted, daily claimed, bet placed, bet removed with /removebet, coinflip, /coins operations and cancelled matches. The message goes to activitemembreschannel, or to the channel where the action happened if that is not set.

Hiding bet counts

cacherparis hides the number of bets on /bet pages and on every page of /listmatches and /listallmatches. The count is still shown in the 📋 list inside /bet and in staff menus.

Mini-games

commandesdejeux:false turns off mini-games. Today that only means /pb coinflip. The option is on by default.
